draft v0.9 — effective on first paid task
Privacy Policy
This is a working draft. It describes how tact handles your data and takes effect when you accept your first paid task. We will tell waitlist members before any change that affects them. No dark patterns, and we never sell your personal data.
Plain-language summary: what we collect, where it lives, who can see it, how long we keep it, and how to get it removed.
What we collect when you join the waitlist
- Your first name and email address.
- Your country and city or region, so we know where to open pilots.
- Your confirmation that you are 18 or older, and your consent to receive updates.
- Optional profile details you choose to add later: device type, task interests, and weekly availability.
- Basic analytics (page views and referral source) attached to your record so we can improve the site.
What we collect when you submit a paid task (later)
- The short first-person video clip you choose to record for a specific task.
- Task and timing metadata for that clip.
- Your consent for that individual clip.
- Recording only ever happens for a task you pick. There is no background, passive, or hidden recording.
Where clips are stored
Raw video is stored privately in access-controlled cloud storage. It is never public and is never posted anywhere. Access is logged.
Who can access your clips, and how
Only trained reviewers, and only through short-lived expiring links, for the purpose of checking consent, framing, quality, and privacy. Robotics teams receive processed, privacy-reviewed clips tied to an anonymous contributor id — never your raw camera roll, your name, or your email.
How long we keep your data
- Waitlist data: kept until you ask us to delete it, or until the waitlist program closes.
- Submitted clips: kept for the duration of the pilot and dataset delivery. Exact retention limits are finalized before the first paid task and shared with you before you record.
Deleting your data
You can request deletion at any time from the Data Deletion page. We remove your waitlist record and personal identifiers. Real limit: clips already delivered to a robotics team in anonymized form may not be fully recallable — if that applies to you, we will tell you exactly what remains and why.
Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you are in the EU or UK, our legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. You have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to object to how we process it. Email us to exercise any of these and we will respond within 30 days.
